Workshop: An Introduction to Rocks
The Society is happy to announce that another session of workshops on ROCKS is going to launch soon . Mr. CM Lee will be our lecturer this time. The workshop will be conducted in three nights, again at PolyU.
23rd June 2010 (Wed) Basic of Igneous Rocks
7th July 2010 (Wed) Basic of Sedimentary Rocks
13th July 2010 (Tue) Basics of Metamorphic Rocks, and PolyU Geo-Lab Visit
Time: 7:00 - 8:30 pm
Venue: PolyU TU432
Deadline: 20th June 2010
This is the best chance for you to gain basic knowledge of the three main types of rocks. A short visit to PolyU Geo-lab is also arranged with the workshop.
Please note the workshop is free and open to current members ONLY. If you need to renew your membership or make a new application, please fill in the enclosed membership application form, and send it back together with bank-in evidence (payable to Society's HSBC A/C 018-368951-001).
